Hi..
Recently i tried your windows template with my dedibox limited..
i want to install windows server 2012 R2 64bit from your template and using it to encode/edit video with software wondershare video converter..
but after successfull install, update driver, windows etc, i begin installing wondershare video converter but it got me error like this : http://prnt.sc/d1fm39
so i think this is software problem, then i try to install this software in another RDP windows server 2012 R2 64bit i had (without using your template),
and software work successfull without any error. I'm curious is this error because windows template or what i don't know,
both RDP (with your template) and (without your template) has been update using microsoft update to latest patch.
Can you confirm in your RDP (using your template) to try install wondershare video converter from their website : https://www.wondershare.com/pro/video-converter-ultimate.html using their trial version is ok,
i'm just want to know if you got same error or something..
Cause i'm want to use windows RDP to only use edit video with that software,
I'm willing to donate if you know how to fix that error..
Thanks a lot, sorry for long message..
Kind Regards,
Note:
Server : Dedibox Limited 64 Bit
Install : Using your tutorial
Template : Win Server 2012 R2 Standard and Datacenter
Hello!
Unfortunately I have been unable to replicate the issue, please check the Windows event logs for error messages surrounding the time you launch the application, I would recommend checking both the "System" and "Application" log sections as each could contain very useful information.
Please update this thread with the error messages.
Maybe if you willing to try install that software, you know what was wrong..
For me, i don't know what log is exactly for that error/apps..
but anyway, thanks, i should try find another way to solved this..

I actually did install the 2012 R2 Standard template on one of the Kimsufi servers we have for testing and was unable to replicate the issue. In order for us to assist you further we will need the logs requested from the Windows Event viewer.
Windows Event Viewer: Computer Management --> Event Viewer --> Windows Logs --> Application & System
You can either copy/paste the errors relevant to the video converter or provide screenshots, whichever is easier for you.

Before i start the App, i clear log to make sure which log to replicate issue,
and then i start that App, funny thing is there is zero log when that software got error message,
both Windows Logs --> Application & System is Zero..
see : http://prntscr.com/d3a6e8 and http://prntscr.com/d3a6hl both after error and i refresh that log..
note : only your windows 10 template is fine for using that app, test by my friend.

Is Server 2012 R2 a hard requirement for your needs?

yes, it is..
cause i'm afraid not all apps i need can be use with Win 10, so i'm playing safe..
It's also i'm so curious why in other RDP i rent using Win 2012 R2 can run that Wondershare App Nicely.
Thanks..

Apologies for the delay, I didn't have time to dig into the issue further until this morning.
You will need to install "Desktop Experience" on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 in order for the software to work correctly. I wasn't able to replicate the exact error you posted, but I was able to replicate other errors with the software all of which resolved themselves completely when I installed Desktop Experience and rebooted the machine.
