Hello,

Unfortunately the template you are attempting to install wasn't created by us.

I would recommend reaching out to the creator of the template to get advise to why it may not be working on the server you purchased from OVH.

As to the templates we are creating, Windows Server 2008 R2 is on the road map, however we do not have a timeline as to when it will be available. For the moment I would recommend installing Windows manually using the IPMI provided (You can mount the Windows ISO and continue with a normal installation).

If you run into issues installing Windows manually please do free to ask questions here and we will do our best to assist you.

Are you mounting the ISO over your home connection?

Gotcha, how long did you let it sit before giving up?

What hardware did you purchase from OVH?

Unfortunately it may not be possible to install Server 2008 R2 onto that platform, much of the underlying hardware (chipset, CPU, NVMe's, etc.) weren't even on the road map when 2008 R2 was released. I would see if you can install Microsoft Windows Server 2016, if so, use Hyper-V to create a virtual machine running Server 2008 R2.
