Hi, I'm trying to install the Windows 10 enterprise template on an UltraVPS.eu instance. The staff have stated that they use VirtIO by default.
So, I put the instance in rescue mode and wget the Whatuptime template. Then I reboot but no joy.
When I try to access the instance via the provider console I get a Windows 10 screen asking me to choose a keyboard layout. After I choose a keyboard layout I get two screen options: 'Troubleshoot PC' or 'Turn Off Your PC'.
If I click 'Troubleshoot PC' I am presented with 5 options:
1. System Restore - Can't do this
2. System Image Recovery - Can't do this
3. Start-up Repair - Tried this and it did not work.
4. Command Prompt - This works, could I change settings from the command line?
5. Go back to a previous build - Can't do this
Any ideas?
So, I kind of solved this by just choosing a different template. The Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Evaluation 64-bit works absolutely fine.
I spoke to soon. I can access the server via the console, but RDP does not work, although it is enabled. The console was responsive initially but has now stopped responding to any actions.
Time to try the Server 2016 template.
